Faq Wart

Warts are caused by a viral infection in the skin. Fortunately, the virus infects only the skin. They can be spread by contact with other infected people, or when a surface is contacted that has the virus on it. If there is a cut or abrasion in the skin, this can make it easier for the virus to infect the skin.

When warts are on the sole of the foot, they are known as plantar warts. A typical wart found on other locations of the body is usually not painful, just unattractive. On the sole of the foot, though, they can be quite painful. There are a number of types of treatments available to eliminate warts. The type of treatment selected depends on the size and location of the wart, whether it is causing pain, and what treatments have been tried in the past. To read more about warts, click here .
